Hi everyone, new to the forums here so pardon me if I am posting in the wrong place. I was looking to find some knowledge and to hear people's experiences with using Gynostemma pentaphyllum for muscle building purposes. I have been getting into using adaptogens for this purpose and have been using Ashwagandha for a while now. I was looking into the different types of ginseng when I came across Gynostemma which people claim to be far more potent than ginseng so I got myself a bunch.

I've been on them for a while and was looking to hear what other peoples experience on it was, specifically with regard to athletes and building muscle? But at the same time, I was also a little uneased by the 'gyno' part of the herb. After doing some research I wasn't able to find any proper evidence to indicate why it was named that way and was worried if it has anything to do with increasing estrogen?

P.S - I am looking to learn more and grow with adaptogens and make this a life long change so if people think there would be better forums to discuss this on then please do let me know.

Tribulus terrestris, is used by body builders in Eastern Europe. It has a fairly narrow margin of safety. Works for some and not others.

We use it in our Male Fertility formula.

I'd recommend contacting Joe Hollis at Mountain Gardens. He is the one who introduced the plant to the US way back when (1990 I think). If anyone would know he would.
