I know that cloves is excellent for dental pain. I am interested in knowing if anyone has used it topically on wounds or if there are other alternatives that can be used. Admittedly, yes, I am thinking in terms of survival medicine, i.e. suturing.
I may be getting ahead of myself here, as I am still learning the basics of herbal medicine but I also wonder what can be done with serious stuff, like if a person needs to be safely sedated. These types of questions keeping popping into my head (not sure why I feel so compelled to know), so I thought I would just take a chance and throw the questions out there.

Thank you in advance!

We've experimented with a lot of things. None of them work.

Cloves, yarrow root etc...are good for mucus membrane but the skin is a different matter.

During the apocalypse, I'm planning to have people bite a stick.

Or a club? Can it at least be somebody I'm mad at?

I might do some exploring to see if there are ways to safely put people into a long deep REM state.
